Upcoming Events: Mosaic in the Community — 2026
January
January is Human Trafficking Awareness month.
Gwinnett County has created a special Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative including the Upfront Gwinnett: Trapped and Trafficked video series to raise awareness about trafficking realities.
Mosaic Georgia’s Marina Sampanes Peed and Lanie George are featured in Episode One. Lanie shares her perspective as a trafficking survivor while Marina addresses some of the “how” and “why” questions around trafficking.
Over the course of this four-part series, Upfront Gwinnett takes viewers inside the shadows of exploitation, centering the voices of survivors and the advocates fighting to protect them.
Human trafficking is real. It is local, and it often goes unseen. Awareness starts with education and conversation.
