Featured Awareness Series

Upfront Gwinnett: Trapped and Trafficked

Gwinnett County launched a Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative to shed light on the realities of trafficking in our community. As part of this initiative, Upfront Gwinnett created the four-part video series Trapped and Trafficked, which centers survivor voices and the advocates working to prevent exploitation.

Mosaic Georgia is featured in Episode One, with Lanie George sharing her perspective as a trafficking survivor and Marina Sampanes Peed addressing the “how” and “why” behind human trafficking.

Throughout the series, Upfront Gwinnett takes viewers inside the often unseen realities of exploitation—highlighting how trafficking happens, who is affected, and what prevention and healing can look like.

Human trafficking is real.
It is local.
And it often goes unseen.

Awareness starts with education and conversation.
