All Wholeness Collective activities & events are FREE.

We ask that you only register for classes/events you plan on attending, as to not take spots others could have filled. All in-person events will take place at our secure office location in Duluth, GA. Address will be provided upon registration.

TRAUMA SENSITIVE YOGA W/ KIERRA

This Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) class is based on central components of the hatha style of yoga, where participants engage in a series of physical forms and movements. This style provides intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Elements of standard hatha yoga are modified to maximize experiences of empowerment and to cultivate a more positive relationship to one’s body.

WEDNESDAYS @ 6:00pm – 7:00pm  

Each class is open to up to 10 Women (18+) at the Resilience Center. These 60-minute sessions will run as a 6-week series from October 5th thru November 9th, 2022. Participants are encouraged to commit to the weekly class for entire series. Register for this trauma-sensitive yoga class today!

SOUND THERAPY W/ SHERYL

Explore the power of singing bowls, gongs, drums, and voice. This class creates a space to gently access sensations in the nervous system through sound, movement, and art in order to find and safely process stored trauma in the body.  Journey deeper into yourself to create awareness in the body.

THURSDAYS @ 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Each class is open to up to 10 participants per class. These 60-minute sessions will run as a 6-week series from October 6th thru November 10th, 2022. Register today to join the next class!

COMFORT IN THE STORM - PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN

Comfort in the Storm founders Kathy and Richard Butler became the change they wanted to see after their daughter disclosed that she had been sexually abused by a family member. Comfort In The Storm provides child sex abuse prevention and awareness training for parents, caregivers, youth-serving organizations, schools, adult professionals, etc. This training workshop, led by the Butlers, equips you with the knowledge to talk to your children about boundaries and body autonomy, as well as how to identify potential grooming patterns and predatory behaviors, signs of abuse, how to develop an ever-evolving safety plan for your family, how to protect your children from online abuse and many other topics.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15th @ 10:00am – 4:00pm

This training is open to 20 participants in person at the Resilience Center. Food will be provided. You can also attend virtually. Register today to join the training!

music therapy

MUSIC THERAPY W/ METRO MUSIC MAKERS

Music therapists at Metro Music Makers provide research-based clinical intervention. They understand that some behavior in children may be influenced by a past traumatic event, and design their treatment to meet individual needs within a group setting. These classes are a space for singing, dancing, and instrument playing to encourage positive social interactions and self-expression.

MONDAYS  –  October 24th and November 7th @ 4:30pm – 5:30pm (Ages 6-11) 

SATURDAYS  –  November 5th, 12th, and 19th @ 10:00am-11:00am (Ages 2-5) 

Each class is open to up to 10 kids per class at the Resilience Center. For Saturday groups, parents are welcome to join in but not required. Register your child for a music therapy class today!

FINDING HOPE SUPPORT GROUPS

Finding Hope Support Groups are designed for adult women  (18+) who experienced sexual abuse, especially as a child or teen (occurred at 18 years old or younger). With Finding Hope, you can find confidential support with survivors who understand what you have been through and move forward on your healing journey. These groups are led by survivors for survivors. You are not alone.
