Victims and their immediate families almost always experience intense disruption following the disclosure of sexual abuse or violence. A bit of help can often provide a stable base to establish new roots and start new, empowered lives.
The Mosaic Crisis Support & Empowerment Fund
Thanks to our community partners, including United Way of Greater Atlanta, we have several resources to help victims, and provide stability and planning for future success.
This fund assists with essential, immediate, short-term needs related to the client’s victimization. Services are provided on a case-by-case basis upon the recommendation of the advocacy specialist.
Hotel for 1-3 days due to crisis circumstances post-disclosure with housing navigation services.
Transportation to/from Mosaic Georgia, court, counseling/support groups, follow-up medical care, legal services related to the sexual assault.
Medications required as a result of the sexual assault but not administered during the forensic medical exam.
Basic groceries for those who cannot access their belongings after victimization.
Clothing, shoes for those who cannot access their belongings after disclosing victimization.
Rent/utility assistance to help victim remain in home and avoid homelessness due to victimization. Payments are given directly to landlord/vendor.
